Roger Beck - President and CEO
Roger Beck joined American Country as President and CEO in October, 2003.
Roger has been a member of the Kingsway team since February, 2000, and has
been in the insurance industry since 1982. Roger's previous positions have
included Vice President at Lincoln General, Product Manager at Deerbrook / Allstate,
Executive Underwriter at Interstate/Fireman's Fund, and various other underwriting
and marketing positions. Roger holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
from Bowling Green State University.
Paul Romano - Vice President and CFO
Paul Romano joined American Country in October 2001 and currently holds the position
of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining American Country,
Paul had worked for Zenith Electronics from 1997 to 2001 where he held the positions
of VP, Finance and Controller of the Consumer Electronics Division, for Fagor Automation
from 1990 to 1997 as its VP / Controller, and for United Airlines from 1986 to 1990 where
he held various management positions. Paul holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School
of Management at Northwestern University, an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the
University of Illinois, and a CPA designation.
Bruce Giles - Vice President of Underwriting Operations
Bruce Giles has been leading American Country's Underwriting efforts since January 2006,
and has been a part of the Kingsway team since 2003. Bruce has been a part of the insurance
industry since 1981 and his previous positions have included MGA Team Manager at Lincoln
General Insurance Company, Underwriting Manager at Allstate, and Assistant Vice President /
Personal Lines at the Interstate Insurance Group. Bruce earned his Bachelor of Science in
Finance and Insurance from Illinois Wesleyan University.
Mike Francis - Vice President of Claims Operations
Mike Francis has led American Country's Claims team as Vice President of Claims Operations
since 1999. Mike has been with American Country since 1981, and his background includes serving
as Assistant Vice President of Claims from 1994 to 1998, Claims Manager from 1988 to 1994, and
Assistant Manager from 1985 to 1988. Mike holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree
from Roosevelt University.
Christine Gennett - Vice President of Actuarial
Christine Gennett joined American Country as Vice President of Actuarial in 2001. Prior to that,
Christine worked with the Aon Corporation from 1988 to 2001, where she held the position of Vice
President and Actuary from 1996 to 2001. Christine earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics /
Actuarial Science from DePaul University, and is also an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society
and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
